Product Category: Full Body
Many hours of R&D have been invested to perfect a harness that offers world leading safety features with an incredibly comfortable, light weight and easy fit.
The Ultralite X Harness weighs just 1.35 kg and is so comfortable and easy to wear you’ll forget you’ve got it on.
The harness features a cross-style design of webbing attached to pliable, supportive mesh padding that provides an even load distribution to the torso in the event of a fall. The innovative design consists of a new lightweight, 3D, breathable, reflective mesh and an all alloy componentry with splash, water proof and reflective webbing.
The reflective properties provide pronounced visibility and safety when working in darkness. Non-metallic front and rear free fall arrest attachment points have contributed to the overall impressive weight of 1.35 kg – a significant weight saving compared to standard full body harnesses.
The Ferno Ultralite X Harness is certified to AS/NZS 1891.1:2007.
Step 1
Remove harness from packaging. Hold harness in front of you by rear dorsal free fall arrest D-ring as shown. Gently shake harness to ensure all straps are not twisted or tangled.
Step 2
Put harness over each shoulder similar to putting on a coat. The rear dorsal free fall arrest D-ring should now be between your shoulder blades.
Step 3
Fasten chest strap and waist strap (if fitted) with buckle, ensuring each buckle plate lays flat on each other.
Step 4
Bend your knees and position yourself as shown. Reach between your legs and connect right strap to right leg buckle ensuring the buckle plates fasten through each other. Repeat this procedure for your left leg. It is important the straps between your legs are not twisted or crossed.
Step 5
When finished steps 1 to 4 ensure your harness is secured correctly including the black strap which is positioned under the buttocks (as shown above). The finished fitting should feel snug but not restrict your movement in any way.
Strap Adjustment
Tighten a strap
Feed the webbing through the buckle and secure by moving the keeper.
Loosen a strap
Move the keeper up the strap, and reposition the buckle for more room.
Shoulder straps
Tilt the keeper and whilst holding onto the top piece of webbing underneath the keeper, move the keeper up the webbing.
Waist straps
For harnesses with waist straps, pass the excess webbing through the keeper to secure.
Leg straps
The slide keepers on the leg straps should be positioned to the front. Make sure the leg straps are not twisted.
